Workshop 1: SAP Central Finance Implementation – Challenges, Pitfalls, Tricks and Tips for a Successful Project

Join this preconference workshop to learn about the key factors that drive a successful central finance implementation project. We address the challenges, pitfalls, tricks, and tips you and your team can use to expedite the introduction of central finance into your organization without disruption or delay.

Specifically designed for those looking to gain a better understanding and overview of the central finance software from SAP this introductory session offers the perfect opportunity for you to ask SAP experts your questions, inform yourself about implementation best practices, and share input with other industry professionals.


The workshop provides an overview that covers the following topics:


• Pre-implementation scoping and prioritization
• Deployment (platform) options and how to get started quickly
• Development of an iterative roll-out plan
• Key design decisions to be taken

Workshop 2: Building the Value Case for Transformation and Change

Join this preconference workshop to review the key business challenges and opportunities to be addressed when developing a value-based business case for transformation. We look at the major transformation imperatives and themes involved when using a central finance approach to accelerate finance transformation and value release.

This workshop is aimed at both a business audience and those who want to understand the major business considerations specific to constructing a case for change. The workshop provides an overview of how the central finance approach from SAP can unleash value for the finance function and how that approach can advance a wider business transformation in preparation for adopting SAP S/4HANA.

Workshop 3: Successfully Operating SAP S/4HANA for Central Finance and Executing the Initial Data Load – System Preparations from a Technical and IT Perspective

Designed for those who have already taken the step toward adopting SAP S/4HANA for central finance foundation, this half-day workshop explores tips and tricks for operating the solution and completing the initial data load.

SAP experts start by demonstrating how best to operate SAP S/4HANA for central finance within a productive system. They point out key areas and transactions that should be continuously monitored and talk about error handling and resolution.

The second section of this workshop focuses on the vital role that the initial data load plays during the implementation phase. Explore the important business and technical decisions you should be making ahead of implementation, how to execute the initial load, and the dos and don’ts you and your team should be aware of.
